Robertson, Rae

Robertson, Rae , Scottish pianist; b. Ardersier, Inverness, Nov. 29, 1893; d. Los Angeles, Nov. 4, 1956. He studied with F. Niecks at the Univ. of Edinburgh; then at the Royal Academy of Music in London with Matthay and F. Corder. He married Ethel Bartlett , with whom he gave numerous concerts in Europe and America as duo-pianists (from 1928). With her he ed. an Oxford Univ. Press series of works for 2 pianos.
