Quadri, Argeo , Italian conductor; b. Corno, March 23, 1911. He studied piano, composition, and conducting at the Milan Cons. (graduated, 1933), then conducted opera throughout Italy. In 1956 he became a conductor at Covent Garden in London. He was a regular conductor at the Vienna State Opera (1957–75).
