Pantaleoni, Adriano
Pantaleoni, Adriano, Italian baritone, brother of Romilda Pantaleoni; b. Udine, Oct. 7, 1837; d. there, Dec. 18,1908. He studied in Udine and Milan. He was a principal member of La Scala in Milan (1871–77; 1896), and also sang in London and the U.S. (1879). After his retirement, he taught voice in Udine and Trieste. He was particularly noted for his roles in Verdi’s operas.
