Moeschinger, Albert

Moeschinger, Albert, Swiss composer; b. Basel, Jan. 10, 1897; d. Thun, Sept. 25, 1985. He received training in piano and theory in Bern, Leipzig, and Munich (1917–23). In 1927 he returned to Bern to teach piano and theory, and later was on the faculty of the Cons. there (1937–43). After experimenting with various styles, he embraced dodecaphony in 1954.
