Malbecque, Guillaume
Malbecque, Guillaume, Netherlands composer; b. c. 1400; d. Soignies, Aug. 29,1465. He was a member of the chapel of Pope Eugene IV (1431–38), and then canon of the collegiate church of St. Vincent in Soignies (1440–65). He was an inventive composer of chansons. His 4 rondeaux and a ballade are included in G. Reaney, ed., Early Fifteenth-century Music, Corpus Mensurabilis Musicae, XI/2 (1959).
