Horne, David (b Stirling, 1970). Scottish pianist and composer. Won Musicians' Union prize for outstanding promise at Huddersfield Fest. 1986, Nat. Mozart Comp. 1987, pf. section of BBC Young Musician of the Year 1988, and Yorkshire Arts Assoc. young composer's prize at Huddersfield 1988. BBC Proms début 1990 (Prokofiev's 3rd conc.).
