Hall, John, English physician and writer on medicine and religion; b. c. 1529; d. c. 1566. He publ. a collection of didactic and sacred verses as The Court of Vertue (London, 1565; ed. by R. Fraser, London, 1961), for which, it is assumed, he also composed the music.
