Coppens, Claude A(lbert)

Coppens, Claude A(lbert) , Belgian pianist, teacher, and composer; b. Schaerbeek, Dec. 23, 1936. He studied at the Brussels Cons. (1944–52), and with Jacques Fevrier and Marguerite Long in Paris, completing his education at the Univ. of Brussels (doctorate in law, 1960). He was active as a teacher at the conservatories in Brussels, Antwerp, and Ghent.
