Welcome Says the Angel
Welcome Says the Angel ★★ 2001
Drifter Joshua (Jacobs) winds up at a seedy bar in Hollywood where he's picked up by Ana (Hauer) and the two go off to her loft. In the morning, Josh finds himself handcuffed, his wallet and Ana gone. She returns after getting her heroin fix but refuses to let Josh go. They begin to bond (must be Stockholm Syndrome) and Josh vows to get her off drugs when he finally gets free. Maybe he wants to handcuff her instead. No-budgeter but the leads work well together. 90m/C VHS, DVD . Jon Jacobs, Aysha Hauer; D: Philippe Dib; W: Jon Jacobs, Philippe Dib; C: Gabor Satanyl; M: Nels Cline, George Lockwood.
