Lesbian private detective Jill Fitzpatrick (Porter) is hired by the parents of missing student Mickey Norris (Cornish). Jill meets Mickey's married poetry professor Diana (McGillis) and the two soon embark on a torrid affair. Then Mickey is found strangled and Jill searches (rather ineptyly) for the killer and nearly becomes a victim herself. Who knew poetry could be so dangerous?
