Smalltown newspaper owner Kenesaw Clark (Rogers) befriends young Lee Austin (Cromwell), who was framed for bank robbery. In retaliation, banker Abercrombie (Barbier) forecloses on the paper, but that doesn't stop Clark's investigation. Meanwhile, he decides to humiliate Abercrombie by cleaning up town bum Meriwether (Summerville) and making him Abercrombie's opposing candidate in a political race. 85m/B DVD .
