Captain Ron
Captain Ron ★½ 1992 (PG-13)
Harried couple Short and Place inherit a large boat and, with their two smart-mouthed kids, go to the Caribbean to sail the boat back to the U.S. Of course they know nothing about sailing, so they hire Captain Ron (Russell), a one-eyed, Long John Silver-talking boat captain. From there, numerous mishaps occur. Amusing sounding premise sinks like a stone. Russell looks great in his teeny-weeny bikini, and the scenery is beautiful, but that's about it. 104m/C VHS, DVD . Kurt Russell, Martin Short, Mary Kay Place, Meadow Sisto, Benjamin Salisbury, Dan E. Butler; D: Thom Eberhardt; W: Thom Eberhardt.
