American actress. Name variations: acted under the names Kay Winters and Linda Winters. Born in Los Angeles, California, on August 24, 1913; died in 1971; attended University of California.

Dorothy Comingore made the transition from stage to screen under the name Linda Winters. She appeared in comedy shorts during the mid-1930s, along with an appearance or two with the Three Stooges and in some low-budget Westerns. Her breakthrough role was in Orson Welles' Citizen Kane (1941), playing Kane's pathetic second wife Kate. Seemingly destined for stardom, Comingore nevertheless faded in a series of supporting roles. Her career ended in 1951, when she was blacklisted in the wake of the House Un-American Activities Committee hearings.
