UKCC
UKCC n. United Kingdom Central Council for Nursing, Midwifery, and Health Visiting: a statutory body, established by the Nurses, Midwives and Health Visitors Act (1979), that regulated the nursing, midwifery, and health visiting professions in the public interest. The UKCC was superseded in 2002 by the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
