Irreconcilable Differences ★★½ 1984 (PG)

When her Beverly Hills parents spend more time working and fretting than giving hugs and love, a ten-year-old girl sues them for divorce on the grounds of “irreconcilable differences.” The media has a field day when they hear that she would rather go live with the maid. Well cast, with well-developed characterizations. The script, by the creators of “Private Benjamin,” is humanely comic rather than uproariously funny. 112m/C VHS . Ryan O'Neal, Shelley Long, Drew Barrymore, Sam Wanamaker, Allen (Goorwitz) Garfield, Sharon Stone, Luana Anders; D: Charles Shyer; W: Charles Shyer, Nancy Meyers.
