Community Environment: Population 3,000, Slippery Rock is located approximately an hour's drive from Pittsburgh. The climate is pleasant both in winter and in summer. There are several Protestant and Catholic churches in the community. The area has good highways and bus service. Local recreation includes hunting, fishing, boating, swimming, golf, and theatres, all easily accessible. Rooms are available in private homes. Many special interest and veteran's clubs are active in the community.
