Distance Learning Program

Distance learning, delivered through DeVry University's Online Center, integrates today's high-tech capabilities with the University's proven educational methodologies. The result is solid education enhanced by interactive information that enables students to send and receive feedback from instructors as well as to participate in various group and team activities with fellow online students. The Online Center serves approximately 16,000 undergraduate and graduate course takers.

Delivery Media

Typical distance learning technologies include the online graduate site (http://www.online.keller.edu) and undergraduate site (http://www.devry.edu), which are accessible 24 hours a day and offer course syllabi and assignments, a virtual library, and other Web-based resources; text and course materials, available through the online bookstore; CD-ROM companion disks; and study notes on instructor lectures.

Programs of Study

DeVry University Online currently offers undergraduate degree programs in business administration, computer information systems, information technology, and technical management and master's degree programs in business administration, accounting and financial management, human resource management, information systems management, public administration, project management, and network and communications management. Graduate certificates are also available for students who wish to develop their expertise in these program areas without completing a degree or who wish to specialize in one of these areas within their graduate degree program.

Undergraduate students must achieve a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0 (on a 4.0 scale) and satisfactorily complete all curriculum requirements to graduate. Graduate students must achieve a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0, as well as fulfill the graduation requirements for their specific programs.

Student Services

In addition to offering high-quality education via distance learning, DeVry University is committed to providing online students with electronic access to the same full range of support services available to students attending courses on site. Through the online site, students can access admission and registration information, career services information, academic advising, and financial aid information. DeVry University also maintains an online library, which provides access to resources such as full-text periodical databases and online short courses for self-instruction. These resources are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to students and faculty and staff members.

Faculty

To ensure uniformity of content and rigor in course work delivered via the Online Center, the University taps the expertise of seasoned faculty members who have undergone specialized training designed to prepare and present courses online and then supplement course delivery with a variety of online instructional activities, all of which focus on course objectives.

Admission

DeVry University's admission process is streamlined, so students learn quickly whether they have been accepted. Applicants must complete a personal interview with an admissions representative and complete a written application. Applicants should visit the University's Web sites for further details.
