Richter, Ferdinand Tobias
Richter, Ferdinand Tobias , German-born Austrian Organist and composer; b. Würzburg (baptized), July 22, 1651; d. Vienna, Nov. 3, 1711. He was court and chamber organist in Vienna from 1683, and enjoyed a great reputation as a theorist and teacher. Among his compositions were 20 operas, 4 oratorios and other sacred works, music for Jesuit school plays, and various keyboard pieces.
