Don's Party
Don's Party ★★★ 1976
A rather dark comedy focusing on Australian Yup-pie-types who decide to watch the election results on TV as a group. A lot more goes on at this party, however, than talk of the returns. Sexual themes surface. Cast members turn fine performances, aided by top-notch script and direction. 90m/C VHS, DVD . AU Pat Bishop, Graham Kennedy, Candy (Candida) Raymond, Veronica Lang, John Har-greaves, Ray Barrett, Claire Binney, Graeme Blun-dell, Jeanie Drynan; D: Bruce Beresford; W: David Williamson; C: Donald McAlpine; M: Leos Janacek.
