Ladinian
1. A Middle Triassic age, preceded by the Anisian, followed by the Carnian, and dated at 239.5–235.0 Ma ( Harland et al., 1989).

2. The name of the corresponding European stage, which is roughly contemporaneous with the Fa Lang (China) and Kaihikuan (New Zealand). It should not be confused with ‘Landenian’, a Lower Eocene stage.
