Yajñavalkya
Yajñavalkya. Hindu sage at the court of King Janaka, to whom Vājasaneyi-saṃhitā, known also as White Yajur Veda, is attributed. The adherents of the school which he founded were then called Vājasaneyins. Other works attributed to him include Śatapatha Brāhmaṇa, to which Bṛhadāranyaka Upaniṣad is attached.
