Grammidae (basslets; subclass Actinopterygii, order Perciformes) A small family of tropical, marine fish that have two dorsal fins, thoracic pelvic fins, and an interrupted or absent lateral line. There are about nine species, occurring in the Indo-Pacific region and the western Atlantic.
