European GeoTraverse
European GeoTraverse (EGT) A geological survey of the European continent along a traverse from the North Cape, Norway, to Tunisia with the aim of producing a three dimensional description of the evolution, nature, structure, physical properties, and dynamics of the continent. The project was proposed in 1980, involved scientists from 14 countries, and was completed in 1992.
