Lincoln judgment
Lincoln judgment, 1890. Edward King, bishop of Lincoln, was prosecuted by the Church Association for alleged illegal practices during worship, such as mixing water with sacramental wine and using lighted candles on the holy table. In his judgment, delivered on 21 November, the archbishop of Canterbury supported the bishop and decided not to take the matter further.
