The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), offers a baccalaureate degree in social science studies. This degree completion program is intended primarily for students who have completed, or nearly completed, the equivalent of the first 2 years of college. Students earning this baccalaureate degree obtain a broad, inter-disciplinary understanding of many issues addressed by research in the social sciences. In addition, UNLV offers a broad range of liberal arts and education classes, as well as courses in areas of interest to the hospitality industry: casino management, hotel administration, conventions, and tourism. These classes are available completely online and may be taken by any adult anywhere. While all of the courses count in the undergraduate program at UNLV, they may also be useful for individuals in the hospitality industry who want to acquire competency in particular areas without enrolling in a degree program.
