American stage and screen actress. Born Aug 31, 1906, in Boston, MA; died Nov 6, 1955, in Orange, NJ; m. Alfred Reginald Meade.

Made Broadway debut replacing Ina Claire in Biography; other credits include No More Ladies, The Dominant Sex, Forbidden Melody, The Country Wife, Pastoral, Three's a Family and George Washington Slept Here; had a 39-month run as Aunt Eller in Oklahoma; also appeared in several films.
