Stover-Irwin, Juno (1928–)

American diver. Name variations: Juno Irwin.Born Juno Stover, Nov 22, 1928, in Los Angeles, CA; attended Glendale Community College, 1947–49; m. Russ Irwin; children: 5.

Won a bronze medal at Helsinki Olympics (1952), while 3 1/2 months pregnant, and a silver medal at Melbourne Olympics (1956), both in platform; competed on US swim team in 4 Olympics and was ranked as one of the top four divers in US (1947–60). Inducted into International Swimming Hall of Fame (1980).
