Swedish writer and politician. Born Nov 24, 1939, in Oslo, Norway.
Was a columnist and leader-writer for 29 years; member of the People's Party Executive; as a member of the European Liberal, Democrat and Reform Party, elected to 5th European Parliament (1999–2004); also wrote 23 books, films, and plays. Awarded the National Order of Merit (France, 1998), His Majesty's Medal, blue ribbon (1993), and the highest distinction of the Royal Academy of Agriculture and Forestry (1997).
