Zimbabwean novelist. Name variations: Mrs G.A. Dobbin. Born 1873 in England; died April 1, 1922; dau. of John E. Page; m. George Alexander Dobbin.
Moved to Rhodesia (c. 1900); works, which reflect experiences of colonial life and were popular during her lifetime, include Love in the Wilderness: A Story of Another African Farm (1907), Paddy-the-Next-Best-Thing (1908), Jill's Rhodesian Philosophy (1910), The Pathway (1914), The Supreme Desire (1916), and The Veldt Trail (1919); with R.A. Foster-Melliar, wrote The Course of My Ship (1918).
