Anglo-Saxon princess. Name variations: Adelaide, Adelicia, Alice. Died around 1065 or 1066; dau. of William I the Conqueror, duke of Normandy (r. 1035–1087), king of England (r. 1066–1087), and Matilda of Flanders (c. 1031–1083); possibly betrothed to Harold II Godwineson, 1062.
Became a nun.
