Stylasterina
Stylasterina (branched hydrocorals; phylum Cnidaria, class Hydrozoa) An order of cnidarians similar to Milleporina but without free medusae. Gametes are formed on aborted medusae in special cavities (sporosacs). Stylasterina are known from the Upper Cretaceous to the present.
