Erythrina
Erythrina (family Leguminosae, subfamily Papilionatae) A genus of small, quick-growing, soft-wooded trees which have spiny branches, and leaves with a few big leaflets. The flowers are large and showy, and are bird-pollinated. They are grown as ornamentals and make good living fences. There are 108 species, occurring in tropical and subtropical, mainly seasonal climates.
