Erysiphales (subdivision Ascomycotina) An order of fungi in which the septate mycelium typically is colourless and the fruit bodies are usually dark-coloured, spherical or hemispherical cleistothecia. All members are parasites of higher plants and some can cause diseases of economic importance.
