Choerilos of Samos
CHOERILOS OF SAMOS
CHOERILOS OF SAMOS (fifth century b.c.e.), Greek poet. Josephus quotes Choerilos of Samos (Apion 1:172–5), stating that he refers to Jews who participated in Xerxes' expedition against Greece. However, the fact that they had round tonsures indicates that they were probably not Jews.
