Original name, Bruno Giovanni Quidaciolu, Jr.; born April 28, 1949, in New York, NY; died of complications from leukemia, August 14, 2006, in Los Angeles, CA. Actor. Character actor Kirby was equally adept in dramas and comedies and appeared in a number of popular feature films, including City Slickers, Good Morning, Vietnam, and When Harry Met Sally. He began acting in film in the early 1970s and appeared in The Godfather, Part II in 1974. Kirby's long list of film credits include the cult film This Is Spinal Tap as well as The Freshman, Donnie Brasco and the animated children's film Stuart Little. Kirby was a regular in the television series The Super, which aired in 1972. He guest starred in such series as Kojak, The Larry Sanders Show, Homicide: Life on the Street, and the HBO series Entourage.
