Michele L. McDonald Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide financial assistance to female reentry students who wish to pursue a degree in accounting. Focus: Accounting. Qualif.: Applicants must be women returning to college from the work force or after raising children. Criteria: Scholarship recipients will be selected based on accounting capabilities. Preference will be given to those individuals who have demonstrated financial need.

Funds Avail.: $1,000. To Apply: Applicants must submit a completed application with all attachments (scholastic record; employment record; volunteer activities; professional activities; honors; career goals; personal goals; financial need; tax returns; references; and complete school contact information) to Educational Foundation for Women in Accounting. Deadline: April 15.

Remarks: Established by the Albuquerque chapter of the

American Society of Women Accountants in memory of one of their members and was transferred to EFWA in 2006.

Purpose: To provide financial assistance to female reentry students who wish to pursue a degree in accounting. Focus: Accounting. Qualif.: Applicants must be women returning to school with undergraduate status; incoming, current, or reentry junior or seniors; or minority women. Criteria: Scholarship recipients will be selected based on accounting capabilities. Preference will be given to those individuals who have demonstrated financial need.

Funds Avail.: $1,000. Seattle Chapter ASWA Scholarships (All/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide financial assistance for students pursuing a degree in accounting. Focus: Accounting. Qualif.: Applicants must be women who are enrolled in an accounting program at an accredited school in the State of Washington. Criteria: Scholarship recipients will be selected based on the applicant's accounting capabilities. Preference will be given to those individuals who have demonstrated financial need.

Funds Avail.: $2,000. Preference will be given to those individuals who have demonstrated financial need.
