AREMA Committee Scholarships 18 -Light Density & Short Line Railways (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To support the education of an engineering student who has a potential interest in railway engineering careers. Focus: Engineering. Qualif.: Applicant must be enrolled full-time in a four or five year program leading to a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology in a curriculum accredited by the Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology; have completed at least one quarter or semester in college prior to the application; and have a GPA of 2.00. Criteria: Selection is based on the materials submitted .

Qualif.: Applicant must be enrolled as full-time student, or part-time working as full-time in the railway industry, in a four or five year program leading to a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology in a curriculum accredited by the Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology; have completed at least one quarter or semester in college prior to the application; and have a GPA of 2.00. Criteria: Selection is based on the submitted materials.

Purpose: To support the education of an engineering student. Focus: Engineering. Qualif.: Applicant must be enrolled full-time student in a four or five year program leading to a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology in a curriculum accredited by the Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology; have completed at least one quarter or semester in college prior to the application; and have a GPA of 2.00. Criteria: Priority is given to a Committee 27 family member or a family member of someone in the work equipment industry for railroads.

Qualif.: Applicant must be a student of Carnegie Mellon University; pursuing an Electrical Engineering degree; and interested in railway engineering and have a goal of obtaining a “Professional Engineering” license.
