AAPA Research Scholarships (Undergraduate/Award/Prize)

Purpose: To recognize and promote outstanding research by students in the field of apiculture. Focus: Entomology. Qualif.: Applicants must be undergraduate or graduate students working in North America with completed research on Apis; must be active AAPA members. Criteria: Award Committee will review proposals and rank them to the top three. Ranks will be based on scientific merit, presentation, originality, and the overall value of the work within the field of apiculture.

Funds Avail.: $1,000. To Apply: Research proposal package must include a curriculum vitae of the nominee, one letter of recommendation, and a summary of the research problem not exceeding three pages including: objectives, significance, and methods. Nominees may also include: up to three publication reprints, submitted manuscripts or abstracts of theses or dissertations. Four copies of the proposal package should be sent to the Chair of the AAPA Student Award Committee at least one month prior to the annual meeting.
