Queen Anne arch

Queen Anne arch. Type of arch formed of a central semicircular arch flanked by two ‘flat’ arches constructed of brick rubbers set over tall thin side-lights on either side of a wider semi-circular-headed window, a variation on the Palladian or Venetian window known as a serliana (e.g. 39 Broad Street, Ludlow, Salop., c.1765). It is actually more common in the Georgian period than in the Queen Anne. .
