SIDELIGHTS: Jennifer L. B. Leese once commented: "I began writing when I was ten years old. I've always had an interest in writing fiction. As I grew older, writing sat on the back burner until my first born was four years old, which was in 1995. His father brought home a rhinocerous beetle for him to keep overnight—that was it—I started writing again. My first published children's e-book was titled 'Beetle Bug Adventures' by Wordbeams Publishing. I plan to rewrite this particular story, adding more detail, and adventures for the two mischievous little bugs, Poppy and Hue.

"I have broadened the genre from children's to include young-adult fantasy, nonfiction stories for children, periodicals, and my favorite paranormal ghostly mainstream fiction. Last year I finished my second ghostly novel titled The Room in the House on Eleanor Street and just began The Carleigh House. I'm looking for agents and publishers for both novels.

"Writing is something I must do … it keeps me sane and allows me to constructively file the many 'new' stories that pop into my head every singel day."
