Patachich, Iván

Patachich, Iván, Hungarian composer; b. Budapest, June 3, 1922; d. there, May 11, 1993. He studied with Albert Siklós, János Viski, and Ferenc Szabó at the Budapest Academy of Music. After working as a theater conductor, he became music director of the Budapest Film Studio in 1952. In 1971 he established the electronic music studio EXASTUD (Experimentum Auditorii Studii) in Budapest.
