Zero Patience
Zero Patience ★★ 1994
Yes, it's an audacious film musical about AIDS myths and ghosts and Victorian explorers—among other things. Infamous Patient Zero (Fauteux) is the Canadian flight attendant reputed to have carried the virus to North America. Ghostly Zero pleads for someone to tell his story and his cause is taken up by Victorian explorer Sir Richard Francis Burton (Robinson), who happens to have achieved eternal life after an encounter with the Fountain of Youth, and who is also preparing an exhibit on contagious diseases. Sharp mix of politics, humor, and fantasy. 100m/C VHS, DVD . CA John Robinson, Normand Fauteux, Dianne Heathering-ton, Ricardo Keens-Douglas; D: John Greyson; W: John Greyson; M: Glenn Schellenberg.
