The Truth About Charlie ★★½ 2002 (PG-13)

Jonathan Demme's remake of the Cary Grant-Audrey Hepburn vehicle “Charade” has the same Paris setting and convoluted plot, but not much of the carefree attitude of the original. She also discovers that she now has a trio of her husband's former col leagues following her, looking for his hidden six million dollars. As an homage to the French New Wave cinema that was blooming when the original was filmed, Demme includes cameos of several lumi naries of the genre. 104m/C VHS, DVD .
