Surreal French animated tale of a joyless bicycle racer and his eccentric grandmother charms, surprises, and confounds with flights of fancy and wonderfully imaginative scenarios. Champion is a sad little boy who doesn't respond to anything until his grandmother buys him a tricycle. This leads him to become a toplevel bike racer who is eventually kidnapped by French mobsters.
