Star Wars: Episode 3— Revenge of the Sith
Star Wars: Episode 3— Revenge of the Sith ★★★ 2005 (PG-13)
After three years of fighting, the Clone Wars are finally ending; the Jedi dispatch Obi-Wan (McGregor) to bring General Grievous to justice; Supreme Chancellor Palpatine (McDiarmid) seeks to consolidate power and bring Anakin Skywalker (Christensen) to the dark side (thus turning him into Darth Vader); the Republic is transformed into the Galactic Empire and the last of the Jedi go into hiding. The end chapter of Lucas' prequel trilogy is appropriately dark, with Lucas's trademark great battle scenes (especially Anakin and Obi-Wan going at it) and at times laughable dialogue and direction. Wraps some elements up neatly, but leaves some major logic holes as well. 140m/C DVD . US Ewan McGregor, Hayden Christensen, Natalie Portman, Samuel L.
