Kings Go Forth ★★½ 1958

Hormones and war rage in this love triangle set against the backdrop of WWII France. Sinatra loves Wood who loves Curtis. When Sinatra asks for her hand in marriage she refuses because she is mixed—half black, half white. He says it doesn't matter, but she still declines because she's in love with Curtis. When Sinatra tells Curtis that Wood is mixed, Curtis says that it doesn't matter to him either because he'd never planned on marrying her. Meanwhile, the war continues. Not particularly satisfying on either the war or race front. Based on a novel by Joe David Brown. 109m/B VHS, DVD . Frank Sinatra, Tony Curtis, Natalie Wood, Leora Dana; D: Delmer-Daves; W: Merle Miller; C: Daniel F. Fapp; M: Elmer Bernstein.
