Chan (Oland) is gambling in Monaco when two murders occur. One is a two-bit gangster working as a hotel bartender and the other is a casino messenger who was traveling to Paris with a million bucks in bonds that has disappeared. Now Chan has to tie the cases together to solve the crimes. A good portion of the dialog is in French and much is made of the language difficulties of Chan and company. This was Oland's last appearance as the sleuth; he died in 1938. 16th in the series. 71m/B DVD .
