anti-androgen (anti-an-drŏ-jĕn) n. any one of a group of drugs that block the cellular uptake of testosterone by the prostate gland and are therefore used in the treatment of prostate cancer, which is an androgen-dependent tumour. See bicalutamide, cyproterone, finasteride, flutamide.
