Hipposideridae
Hipposideridae (Old World leaf-nosed bats; order Chiroptera, suborder Microchiroptera) A family of insectivorous bats in which the nose has a prominent leaf, the nostrils opening at the centre of a disc. The ears are pointed, and in some species joined; they are independently mobile, with an antitragus but no tragus. The tail extends to the edge of the uropatagium. There are many species, distributed throughout the Old World tropics.
