Bangiales
Bangiales (division Rhodophyta) An order of red algae which are fairly simple in their structural organization. Two common genera are Bangia and Porphyra; Bangia is filamentous and can live in freshwater and marine habitats, while Porphyra is membranaceous and is found in intertidal regions on temperate coasts.
